Forum Directories: Do You Use Them?

A lot of forums have directory add on installed. This add on allows user to submit their links. This add one will create a web directory on your forum. Do you have directory on your forum, do you use directory on other forums. Do you think submitting your website on these directories can help you improve search ranking and also get you organic traffic?

I do not have a web directory on my forum neither do i use it on other forums.
