Syria’s fragile truce amid ongoing combat and civilian displacement is bittersweet. Personally, I think it reflects the difficulty of achieving peace in war-torn regions. What surprises me is how quickly ceasefires unravel under pressure. For me, the most important aspect is protection—civilians must be shielded from violence. I believe international support is crucial to sustain peace. In the end, fragile truces are reminders that peace is not a moment, but a process.
