Musicians no longer have to sell records nowadays. They can make money through digital streaming platforms. But let's look at it well. Do music artists really make much money from those streaming platforms? Or do they make more money from live concerts/ shows more than they make from music streaming platforms?

They make there money from different areas, they get paid from people streaming their songs, and the shows they perform some become ambassador of various brands and get paid from it.

I think they make more money through concert and live performances! I heard that Whizkid was paid 1.5 million dollars on on single show! that did not last 2 hours!

It all depends on the number of audience the musicians have. The more the listeners the more they earn.

Music artists make money from different sources. Royalties, concerts, and record sales. But I think concerts enable them to make big money.
Royalties are just very small passive earnings for music artists. Music records no longer sell records because of streaming platforms.

That's true. But royalties do provide a consistent source of passive income if the music of the artist remains well known. I guess concerts contribute most to the income of the artist.

It is true. One thing about a music artist earning royalties is that the money would keep coming without end even after the artist has passed on through his or her endless generations.
