SignUp Now!India is the biggest producer of rice in the world. Thailand is a major producer too. I would rather import from India if I was into the business of importing rice.India is also a great producer of rice that one can import from. I also think Malaysia has rice. But you have to understand the local market to choose a importation location.
Does Nigerian rice production have enough capacity to feed the whole country? I still see foreign rice though in the market.Importation of rice is illegal in Nigeria now. It is contraband. You can buy a lot of rice in Nigeria here. There is enough rice in Benue, Yola, Adamawa, Ebonyi state, kogi state etc. Don't risk your money or you will make custom officers more rich.
