Marco Silva has been charting the progression of his Fulham team’s mentality when it comes to silverware as they try to win the club’s first major trophy this season.
“It shows the progress, first season we achieved the quarter-final, last season we achieved the semi-final in the Carabao Cup, and a quarter-final this season,” he said. “Shows the progression and the mentality of the club, We’ve changed the approach and mindset of the cup competitions.
“In all the cups games I’ve said it’s going to be very very difficult. But the ambition is always there, to try all the way until the last game.”
Silva confirmed that right-back Tete will be unavailable for tomorrow’s FA Cup quarter-final against Crystal Palace due to injury, while Harry Wilson and Reiss Nelson remain out.
