Goa court on Monday extended the police custody of Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, the owners of the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub, by five days in connection with the devastating December 6 fire that resulted in 25 deaths. The siblings, who had fled to Thailand after the incident, were deported back to India on December 17. Advocate Vishnu Joshi, representing the family of the victims, confirmed the court's decision. The police have not sought an extension for another owner, Ajay Gupta, who has been remanded to judicial custody. The Anjuna police have registered a case against the Luthra brothers for culpable homicide not amounting to murder, among other offences
