Google search on smartphone autofilled with Telugu characters

On one of my smartphones, the google search is autofilled with Telugu characters. I do not know telugu language and have not set telugu as the language. Does anyone know how telugu characters are being shown for google search?

I don't have any idea about this, because I have not experienced it myself. Have you tried resetting your device?

Can you tell me the procedure for resetting the device, will I lose the data or will the apps installed be removed when I reset the smartphone or tablet.
