The grounds for legal separation in the Philippines are clearly outlined in Article 55 of the Family Code and include a range of circumstances, such as repeated physical violence, abuse, adultery, abandonment, drug addiction, or imprisonment.

These grounds are designed to protect the spouse seeing a separation and address situations where the marriage has become irreconcilable due to serious misconduct or incompatibility. Specific examples include repeated physical violence, attempts to corrupt a child, drug addiction, or the respondent's contracting a subsequent bigamous marriage.

It is essential to consult with a qualified family law attorney to explore the specifics of legal separation and determine if it is is appropriate course of action. A lawyer can provide guidance on the legal procedures, gather necessary evidence, and represent your interests in court. The legal process can be complex, and a professional legal representative is crucial for protecting your rights and achieving a favorable outcome.

Same here mate in Nigeria when once there's repeated physical violence, abuse, adultery, abandonment, drug addiction, or imprisonment. Then these are grounds for divorce
Good for your country there is legalization of divorce. In my country the Senate is still fighting for it to be legalized. Legal separation is also costly.

Same here it is an expensive journey as such a lot of people just walk away without properly divorcing their spouse

Those people walk away because they can't pay, so also here. They only rely on the police order not to see each other again and harm the wife and children. Others separate through words of mouth 😁

It's better not to marry if both feelings aren't stable. That's one reason why I'm afraid to make commitments to a man. It's scary if marry someone weak and emotionally unstable.

That's right it is not easy if you marry one that's not emotional available and supportive. You would be in the marriage alone.

My ex- bf was so possessive and over jealous. He didn't let me break him, so I invited someone to tempt him, and he did betray me, which I celebrated. I had a reason to escape from him. He was also a black belter.
