Harassing domain investors instead of purchasing domains

Many early domain investors who have valuable domains are being harassed by large companies wasting a lot of money, hoping that the domain investor will drop the domain. A few large companies have the grace and humanity to legally purchase the domains paying the market price, instead of wasting money to destroy the life of the domain investor. Why do most companies prefer to waste money harassing domain investor, instead of spending far less money and legally purchasing the domains for a few hundreds or thousands of dollars?

Yes a lot of big companies always want to be taking things by force. Sometimes these things don't even make real sense

It just doesn't make sense though, if they have the money to waste on harassing domain owners, why not simply use the money to buy the domain legally.

It is sad to see domain investors being harassed instead of respected. Big companies should recognize the value of fairness and open dialogue. Buying legally is easy and gives respect to the investor's efforts. Let's choose dignity over conflict.

The domain investors are getting threatening phone calls, smses, and they are also defamed as idle lazy people without any income, despite a large amount for domain renewals.
