Have you ever faced excess demand in your business? How did you handle it?

I do not run a business. I am a freelancer offering translation service. There are times when quite a lot of clients request my service. In such case, I will discuss the completion deadline with them, and I will prioritize my work according to the completion schedule as requested by different clients.

As a business owner it's my pleasure to have excess demand. It happened to my online business when one customer ordered 100 pieces of my printed T-shirts. I was able to manage it with the assistance of my layout artist - designer.

I have faced lots of demands a few times but it has never been an amount I can't handle. In such a case, the only thing I can do would be to spend some extra time or hire some extra hands to assist me.

Excess demand in each business can be handled differently, such as in a grocery store, if an item is in high demand because the supply of goods in the market is very low, so traders can only wait until the supply is normal, while for production orders, such as making cakes etc., if there is an excess order, the business owner must be honest that he cannot complete the order on time. So only accept orders according to production capacity.
