Have you ever tried advertising on the forum sites?

There are some folks that really do the advertising of their businesses on the forum sites. So my question is have you ever made advertising on on such avenues and what was your experience like?

I have never done this before cause I feel I might not be able to to reach out to my target audience.

I have not done it maybe others and it depends on the kind of business you have. My business is advertised only on Facebook.

I have done it. I have done it on Forum Coin to promote my blog. When requesting for payment, I have given them a part to advertise the link for two months..I did get some traffic from there but not that much. So,it was not so effective.

No I did not because I do not have anything to advertise but I believe if the forum is huge then you can make something out of it

In the truth of the matter l have never tried out that thing before. I guess it's a very unique advertising way for your business.

I have used forums for promotion and marketing but I have never used paid ads to promote something on forums.

It depends on what type of community you have, and what you want it to achieve. If you have a social forum based around a common interest, find the people who are already interested in those things and invite them over. If you have a customer service forum based around solving problems, email your customer database or find where people are complaining and invite them over
