According to the report, Hezbollah chief Hassan Hassan Nasrallah had survived several Israeli strikes before the one that finally killed in Beirut on September 28.

The report said that Israeli jets dropped over 80 bombs to penetrate Hezbollah’s underground headquarters, flattening six buildings in the massive strikes. Israel likely wanted to ensure it did now allow a repeat of 2006 when Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah escaped three assassination attempts.

The report added that Nasrallah’s assassination marked the culmination of Israel’s three-decade-long effort to eliminate the Hezbollah leader. During the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war, Israel attempted to kill Nasrallah three times, according to sources cited by the Financial Times (FT).

One viewer said: Israel had him in its palm for a very long time, the button was pushed only after he made a speech showing his defiance challenging IDF to enter Lebanon. That was the straw that broke the camels back, Israel was then convinced he had no intentions of stopping the rockets even after countless of chances were given to him.
