According to the report, Israel has rejected a push led by key backer the US for a 21-day ceasefire in Lebanon, vowing to keep fighting Hezbollah militants "until victory".

The report said that Foreign Minister Israel Katz asserted that “there will be no ceasefire in the north,” after PM Netanyahu denied claims that a truce is in the cards. Speaking at the JFK airport in New York, Netanyahu said Israel will “keep striking Hezbollah until we accomplish all of our goals."

The report added that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant approved “the continued IDF offensive activity” against Hezbollah in Lebanon, according to his office. The IDF claimed it killed the commander of Hezbollah’s aerial forces Muhammad Hussein Sarour, in an airstrike in Beirut on September 26.

Why is it that when Hezbollah bombed Israel for the nth time nobody calls for a ceasefire, but when Israel retaliated lots of countries called for a ceasefire.

Why is it only now that a ceasefire is proposed? Lebanon has attacked Israel for almost a year, displacing 60k Israelis from North Israel, but no one said anything.
