Historic Sunehri Masjid Restoration Work Begins After HC Nod
New Delhi,December 26, 2025: Following a green signal from the Delhi High Court, the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) today began the scientific conservation and restoration of the 18th-century Sunehri Masjid near the Gurudwara Sis Ganj in Chandni Chowk. The mosque, built in 1721, had suffered significant structural damage. The project involves delicate stone cleaning, lime plaster repair, and dome restoration, and is expected to take 18 months
