Some customers won't ever stop asking for free samples. Imagine having 20 customers and 15 asking for free samples.

How can a small business person balance giving free samples and staying profitable after sales?

Give samples with a hopeful heart but a smart plan. Give just enough to create a real craving. Please, choose the right people who might truly buy. Think of each sample as planting a small seed for a loyal, beautiful garden of customers. That makes it worthwhile.

Free samples can help, but they need limits. I see them as a marketing cost, not a favor. I usually give samples only to serious buyers or first-time customers. Another trick is making samples smaller or bundling them with a purchase. That way people still get a taste, but the business isn’t bleeding money just to keep curiosity alive.
