How can I recover files from a damaged storage drive?

The hard disk of my PC has just been confirmed to be damaged by a computer technician because it couldn't boot up the computer any longer.

I have lots of important files that are stored on that hard disk which I would need anytime soon for some jobs. How do I get to recover such files from the damaged hard drive? Is it possible or I should give up and start life all over again.

You can install apps like Recuva in another device and use it to scan the damaged drive to attempt to recover your files. This might not work though. Best bet is to use professional data recovery services and companies.

Don't dispose the hard disk. A computer repairman once told me that my hard disk have damaged that i should disposed it. I refused and take it home. After sometime, i check the hard disk is good as new. Some of the repairmen are simply criminals in sheep clothing.

The chances of recovering all your files are small, but you can try recovering them with good software. You can find them on "Getintopc," a good website that will give you good software for free.
