How do game shops charge their patrons?

I have seen so many game shops ran commercially here. People go there to pay and play video games. I am wondering how those game shops charge the people that patronize them. Is it based on a session of number of hands played per game?

Gaming shops is no more profitable especially since mobile phone have all you need to play games. Though, in some places some dudes are still patronizing them. They pay per session !

You can't even compare mobile phone gaming with console games. The difference on the gaming experience is like night and day. And that is why young people still patronize game shops like mad. They pay per game for soccer games and per session for adventure games.

Sir, there is no mobile game that can have the same game mechanics with that of a console. Have you played PES on mobile and tried it on a Console? Better graphics, more advanced gameplay, more difficulty, and more modes. Consoles were made specially for games. You are not a gamer. So relax.

To topic, game shops charge $0.5 per game session of 20 minutes in my location.

Game shops with Playstation 5 consoles are making money in my country. That's because many people can't afford to own a Playstation 5. They charge per match for those playing soccer games.

Most of the games they play there is usually arcade games or battle games, they don't play adventure games cause it would take too much time, so play per fight.
