How do you bring activities on your forums

Forums are user generated content sites where registered users create topics and post replies. If there are no activities, the whole point of running a forum becomes useless. Therefore, activities are the blood and bone of a forum. However, with the popularity of social media forums are losing activities, how do you bring activities on your forums?

I do not have a forum site if there is I have to post my forum site in a social media like Facebook where I have almost 6000 friends and

How do you manage to get 6 thousands friends on Facebook. I don't even have 1000 friends. Well, I have over 20k followers on some of my facebook pages.

Yes, that's a secret. I am teaching Physics at the university. Those Facebook friends were mostly my I university students in Engineering and Architecture, IT , Electronics and more. Joining on forums becomes my passion and to stress out.

Wow! You must be really popular teacher. My spouse used to work as a teacher and she also has a lot of friends on her facebook who were her former students. My sister, who is also a teacher, also has a lot of students in her friend list
