In my country the prices of the basic necessities like food that is sugar, rice, wheat and maize floor among other products have experienced a surge in the prices. In most cases there seems no chances for prices going down anytime soon.
How do you compare the prices for the basic necessities in your country to the prices back in five years ago?

The price of things at the moment have changed drastically, a thousand naira can no longer buy anything resources compared to a few years back.
Here, the price of basic neccessities have gone up a bit compared to five years ago. But the increment is not very big because the inflation rate here is not high.
There are some basic necessities that had really skyrocketed but through the protests and demonstrations by the youths they surged down for a little bit.
In my country it has increased hundred times. Managing finances has become very difficult now.
