We all know that private lives can affect the performance of staff. And we have to manage staff at this point.

For a staff that has just gone through a divorce. The staff can be traumatized to underperform. How can you manage such a staff as the owner of the business?

I think the best thing to do in situations like this is to give them time. Let them take a little break to sort things out.
What would happen to the position of the staff and his responsibility during the break? Is his personal life supposed to affect my organisation?

I will just Let him or her stay due to her conditions I will managed her and tolerate all her troubles I won't in any way make her feel bad.
A break would be the best thing to do to help such a staff. Allowing him or her to keep working would keep on weighing her down. A two weeks break would do good.

If everyone uses their weaknesses to draw businesses down, the corporate world would not exist. I would give such a staff three days break to get back to normal or resign.
