When one learns a skill, the major thing is always that the person aims to own a business with that skill in the future. How does someone successfully transit from being just an apprentice to owning their own business in the skill they have learned?

To move from an apprentice to a business owner, start buying your tools as an apprentice so that you can start at once when you complete your apprenticeship.

I believe there is usually an agreed time frame where you can work and learn as an apprentice, after this time frame has expired you can now free to move out and start your own job.

Learning a skill is the first step but owning it as a business is a whole other level. You must know not only how to work but also understand the whole game.

After becoming a good technician, start building your name. Do small jobs for people and give them clean results. That's when customers start trusting you and bringing others to you.

Once you know the demand is there, find your tools and a small location. Don't wait to be perfect. Start slowly and learn with each step. Business is built with heart and consistency.
