How is internet speed measured?

I have seen a few people talking about their internet speed with real values. I want to know how these people get to measure their internet speeds on their devices. How can I measure and verify my internet speed on both PC and smartphones?

I’ve asked myself the same question! Many people test their internet speed using websites or apps like Speedtest.net, Fast.com, or Ookla. All you need is an internet-enabled device—whether it’s a PC or a phone—and click “Go” or “Start” to see your download and upload speeds.

For phones, you can download the Speedtest or Fast app from Google Play or the App Store. For PCs, you can just use a browser without downloading anything. Make sure no other apps are using the internet during the test to get accurate results.
