Every smartphone screen must lock itself when it stays idle for a set period of time. And the duration for the phone to stay idle before it locks is always set by the owner of the phone.

How you have set your phone, how long does your screen stay idle before it locks?

Personally, I believe that setting the screen lock timeout is very important for both security and convenience. I have my phone set to lock automatically after one minute of inactivity. I consider this a reasonable time, as it prevents the screen from staying on and draining the battery for too long if I forget to turn it off or if I don't use it for a few minutes. At the same time, I don't find it inconvenient to have to unlock my phone frequently, especially when I'm using it regularly. However, I also understand that some people prefer a longer timeout to avoid having to constantly enter their password, particularly in environments where there's no risk of theft or unauthorized access. Ultimately, I think everyone should adjust this setting according to their needs and level of concern for security and battery life.

My smartphone screen can only stay idle for two minutes before it automatically locks itself. That's how I set it.

When i am using it for teaching, i usually set it for thirty minutes but on a normal day, it is around three to five minutes.
Thirty minutes? That's quite long. I have never set my screen lock time beyond five minutes before and I feel that self is too risky.
