How long is a smartphone expected to keep working after first use?

It is not easy to say because a lot of things have to be considered. For instance, individual usability and value of the phone. A quality phone will last more than 10 years! Low quality phone can not last more than 5 years.

I think that the battery of a smartphone should work optimally for at least two years before it needs to be replaced. Some go for four years.

It depends on your usage and charging habits. My phone's battery has declined because of my poor charging habits in the past and may need to be replaced in about a year or two.

Mine is still working well. My smartphone is four year old.

For me l think that that depends on the type of the phone. Like my smartphone is three years old and the battery is still in its good condition for the truth of the matter
