How long should a manager of a business ideally serve before being changed?

The manager in any business organization is the person that takes decision on major business developments and progress. How long is a business manager expected to stay and it is not too short or too long?

I think ideally, the manager of a business should serve for at least three years. The appointment can be renewed based on performance.

He or she should stay at a job for at least two years. However, as long as they aren't bound by a contract, you are free to move at your own pace

At the end of the day it depends on the company and their policy. It could be around three to four years or so.

Any manager of a business that doesn't serve for at least two years has not stabilized to lead the innovation that it has for the company.
