People in this era are very impatient and won't want to be part of an e-commerce platform that takes them through too much pages just for them to make payment for a product they want to buy online. How many clicks to checkout is ideal for an e-commerce store not to tire the potential customer out?

Yes, online retailers nowadays are trying to make the checkout process as convenient as possible. I would say 2-3 clicks are good enough.

It should not be more than four clicks and you are already checking out. More than that? And checkout is already a burden.

I believe two to three clicks should be enough, like you said people are not that patient, they easily get irritated.

One click to ad product to the cart and another click for check out, I think 2 clicks are good. If it takes more than 3 clicks there will be cart abandonment.
