I have recently found out that the dealing in the online food business is gaining a lot of popularity for sure. So how much do you think is enough for one to start a simple online food delivery in the vicinity?

Do you want to deliver food or sell food? These are two different things, and require different kind of investment approach.

The food you plan on delivering, are you preparing it yourself or are you delivering food made by other persons as @Nomad has said, these are two very different businesses and the amount for startup differs.

It seems that there is need to deferential between selling food and delivering food! If you are the one that will be cooking the food and delivery it, it will cost you a fortune!

The original poster did not specify if he wants to cook the food himself and deliver. That would require different capital commitments from just delivering food cooked by another business.

Selling foods and providing delivery of foods are different. If you sell food you cook and also provide delivery service, the investment amount can be quite substantial.
