A CCTV camera is almost like a basic need in homes and offices nowadays. It seems that most buildings can't afford to have a CCTV camera because it is expensive

It cost me about Rs 40000 in 2017 to install 7 cameras. It might have increased now. Yet my valuables were robbed and the police couldn't arrest the robbers even after viewing the cctv footage.

cause sometimes motion just doesn’t get everything but it’s up to u. Motion is better for keeping space on hard drive down and when going back through footage the recorder will show only when video was recorded on the camera your viewing.
then setup app for remote viewing so u can get Alerts when not home or even when u are home so u know who’s at door and such.
some fine tuning might be needed if u notice not getting exactly the angle of video u were hoping for or another camera might be needed.
