Every purchase comes with sales tax, yet few people track how it adds up over time. It’s a small percentage, but consistent spending makes it significant. How nuch sales tax so you pay in your country? How do you factor sales tax into budgeting? Have you found strategies to minimize its impact, like online shopping or tax-free states?

Our country has GST which is pinching holes into the pockets of common man.

Right now, there is no sales tax in my city. But the government is considering increasing sources of tax income and that may include sales tax in the future.
I think introducing sales tax could be a significant change for your city, it might impact consumer behavior and business operations. I feel like it's crucial for the government to balance revenue generation with the cost of living, ensuring the tax burden doesn't disproportionately affect low-income households.

Yeah I think some countries don't have the different taxes that are prevalent in other countries.

In my country, taxable objects are subject to different tax rates, such as property sales tax (income tax) is charged at a rate of 2.5% of the selling price, while crypto sales tax is charged at a rate of 0.21% of the sales transaction value, while sales tax on luxury goods is charged at a high rate.

In my country they normally charge at 16% on the value added tax on every item being sold in any stores.
That's a standard VAT rate, contributes to government revenue and funds public services, though it can impact consumer spending power.
