There are some clients that are very influential for some businesses. They are known to be loyal clients for a long time. Maybe along the line, the business loses the client.

What should be the response of a proactive business to losing such a key client?

The best thing is to try every means to reach out and bring them back, if at the end of the day they refuse to come back, then it's best the business moves and and focus on finding others.

Many business people ignore the service that causes their loyal customers to leave, even these loyal customers have invited some of their friends, but this disappointment loyal customers also invite some of their friends to move to other stores, so what must be done is improve the service or prioritize loyal customers.

No need to moan about customers that are clearly lost. You have to work on building your market base more.
Sure working more hard and smart is the way to go. That's the best thing you can do now and have more buyers
