How to Determine Target Audience and Consumers Before You Start a Business?

From my observation so far, there are many DBucks forum members who are not only good at discussing business but also have extensive experience in business, so how do you determine your target audience and consumers?

When I started my poultry business, I identified my target market by trying to define people who would my products primarily. I looked at the alternatives and those who won't be able to use the alternatives and I defined them as my target market.

This involves defining your business goals, identifying your ideal customer, segmenting your audience, and conducting market research.

The first thing I did was thinking of the right location where people are for they will be my customers. My product also fits the description of the location which is in the mall where people come and go. Your target audience also depends on the services and resources you could offer them.
