In most cases, the staff would complain inside about poor pay. They won't ever confront the business owner to complain that the pay on offer is no longer okay for them

As a business owner, how do you detect that your staff are already feeling unsatisfied with the pay?

Detecting employee dissatisfaction with their pay can be challenging, especially if they don't openly voice their concerns. However, some signs may include decreased motivation and productivity, increased staff turnover, lack of engagement, or negative comments in informal conversations. As an owner, it's important to maintain open communication and create an environment where employees feel comfortable sharing their concerns. Conducting regular job satisfaction surveys and holding one-on-one meetings can also help identify and address these concerns before they impact team performance and morale.
