I think that is a terrible mistake. Without android and iOS operating system, the smartphone functionality will be highly limited especially in area of internet connectivity. Google's android have dominated the market.

A large number of apps are developed mainly for Android phones. It depends on how easily they can convince the app developers to develop apps for the Huawei operating system.

The company would build apps by themselves for their OS. If Apple Inc can do it, so would Huawei achieve success.
