I insist on my price and don't blink. Customers say I am rude. Am I?

A person required my service and told her how much I charge. She tried to bid down the price. I told her point blank that I won't work for anything less than the price I told her. I told her she can take the job to someone else that would charge less. But I won't reduce my own price.

She said I am arrogant. Can that be classified as arrogance?

No if does not count as being arrogant. There are lots of persons who have come to me for my services, after telling them my price some don't come back again. It simply mean my services is not ment for you. It means you know your worth and you won't settle for less.

It is a common behavior of customers to ask for price reductions and businesses can refuse to sell for lesser price. Whether this is rude or not depends on how do you refuse it, what kind of language you use.

I didn't use any bad language. I just told her that I won't do that job for a cent less. And she told me that I am being arrogant.

I hope being considerate enough to your customers is an added advantage for your business reputation building for sure.
Maybe the customer used the wrong words. he might have been inconsiderate and the customer saw through him but not necessarily arrogant
