According to the report, on July 2, Israel’s military said it had apprehended members of an Iranian-backed “terrorist cell” in southern Syria following special intelligence. The IDF arrested members of an Iranian terrorist cell after receiving intelligence from the interrogations of other Syrian operatives by its elite Unit 504. The Israeli military, in a statement, said that in a 'targeted night-time' raid, troops apprehended several terrorists and seized weapons. IDF said the operation targeted 'a terrorist cell operated by Iran', Israel’s arch-foe, against which it fought a 12-day deadly conflict in June.
