U.S. President, Donald Trump has clarified that he is not pursuing a constitutionally prohibited third term in office, despite previously floating the idea in public remarks.

In an interview aired on Sunday, May 4, on NBC’s Meet the Press, Trump told moderator Kristen Welker, “This is not something I’m looking to do,” when asked about the possibility of a third term. He added, “I’m looking to have four great years and turn it over to somebody — ideally a great Republican — to carry it forward.”

Trump’s comments come amid speculation triggered by his own musings on the subject during recent rallies.

Regardless of the fact that it is absolutely not possible for any American president to serve a third term after being in power for 8 years, for Donald Trump we must also consider the age factor. Let's take into account the fact that the newly re-elected Donald is now 78 years old, so at the end of his term he would be 82. Basically, he would also be decidedly old even if third mandate were admitted also because four years later he would still be president until the ripe age of 86 years old....

It's impossible for Trump to run in the next presidential term because of his age. He may not anymore win un case he will be forcibly endorsed. I'm so sure it's VP Vance to be endorsed by Trump to run as the next US president.

In fact, J D. Vance will surely be the candidate for mayor in four years in the next American presidential elections. Think that not even Elon Musk despite his political and economic power, will ever be able to run for president, this is because he was not born in the United States of America.

However, from my point of view it is too early to have a debate like this, as the next American presidential elections will be held only in four years, therefore in 2028. But the very worrying thing is that in the meantime in the world there are three serious wars at the same time which could unfortunately have disastrous exoduses!

I find your statement honorable, seeking a third term would be unnecessary, he is already a very old person, a new candidate is needed, the problem is that he won because he was the only good option there was, so I sincerely hope that the next candidate is someone good like him and not someone evil.

However, regardless of age, in America no president has and will ever be allowed a third term after having been in office for 8 years, even if not consecutive. As was the case in the past with Grover Cleveland, the same worths nowadays for Donald Trump.
