Immortal ascension is a Chinese drama adapted from a Chinese novel with a similar name that talks about Han li's cultivation journey from being a mortal to an immortal, all the struggle along the way and how he was able to rise to the top. What makes this drama so unique is that it also has a donghua (Chinese animation) that is currently ongoing with the name "A mortal's journey to immortality"
It has been praised as one of the best adaption of animation to live action. Majority of the live action made from Chinese animation have never been good, but this is definitely one of the best, from the main protagonist resembling the animation version, to the fight scenes.
