India’s latest operational deployment to the South China Sea will feature its first joint patrol with the Philippines in the contested waters.

Thanks, India, rest assured, this is only for exercise and to strengthen friendship between our countries. It is in India's interest that the South China Sea shipping trade routes remain free and open and not controlled by a certain country claiming to "own" most of it. However, this will not scare China.

China is a very powerful country with a lot of advanced technology. I doubt if the combined military might of Phillipines and India can be able to withstand China military might. India and Philippines should approach China with caution.
