It also happens here but only a very few times. The reasons include the following : blackout in the area of your Internet provider, post fallen the transmitter of the Internet provider. Others might be unknown.
The internet connection started working properly the next day, I think that the smartphone was hacked that day. After the phone was switched off for some time, it was working properly.

This is also common here, it might simply be a case of bad network from your network provider though.

There might be a problem of your network or your phone hangs up. There are cases like that unavoidable. At least it was back to normal the next day.
Glad that it was back the next day. It had happened once with me. My phone hanged up. I had to restart and reset everything.
