US stocks such as AAPL, TSLA, SPOT, META, AMZN, MSFT, etc., are often tempting and very attractive, especially to investors who do not reside in the US. These investors face numerous obstacles, such as the need for a US stock brokerage account, the need for large deposits, and the need to adjust to US stock exchange trading hours. These obstacles hinder retail investors with limited capital who do not reside in the US.

However, the presence of stock tokens allows many retail investors to participate. Although legally, stock token holders do not have the same rights as real shareholders, such as legal rights and voting rights, stock token holders still receive dividends. Are US stock tokens attractive and able to attract retail investors?

Stock tokens are definitely an interesting innovation, especially for people outside the United States who have always found it difficult to invest in big companies like Apple or Tesla. They essentially open the door to fractional investment in global markets without the same entry barriers traditional brokers impose. For small retail investors, that’s a huge opportunity — they can gain exposure to major U.S. companies with just a few dollars instead of needing hundreds or thousands.
However, it’s important to remember that stock tokens are not the same as owning the real shares. You don’t get voting rights or legal ownership, and their legality varies depending on the country and exchange offering them. There’s also the question of regulation — many jurisdictions still don’t have clear rules around how these tokens should be treated.
In my opinion, stock tokens are a good starting point for diversification and learning about global markets, but they should be approached carefully and not replace traditional investments entirely.

It's a very good idea for those who don't have the possibility to invest in stocks directly, so many people will find it useful. For people who can invest in stocks directly through brokers, I don't think it's very useful.
