According to the report, the Iranian government has warned its key ally Russia against siding with Azerbaijan. Iranian foreign minister Syed Abbas Araghchi has put out a stern post on social media saying, "Regional peace and stability is a pillar of our national security.

The report added that any threat from North, South, East, or West to the territorial integrity of our neighbors or redrawing of boundaries is totally unacceptable and a red line for Iran." The remarks came after Russia backed Azerbaijan’s bid to build the Zangezur Corridor along the Armenia-Iran border.

During his visit to Baku, Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said Armenia is sabotaging the Russian-brokered agreement to open the corridor. Iran has historically opposed Azerbaijan and Turkiye’s bid to build the Zangezur corridor, saying that it would limit the country's access to Armenia and Europe.

In addition, earlier, Iran summoned Russian Ambassador Alexey Dedov and told him that it doesn’t want conflict on the border encouraged by Moscow.
Armenia should be the only one who should decide to give the Azeris a corridor or not. Armenian mainland is not a disputed land. Azerbaijan should not cross its limits.
