Iranian students stage first large anti-government protests since deadly crackdown

According to the report, students at several universities in Iran have staged anti-government protests - the first such rallies on this scale since January's deadly crackdown by the authorities.

The report said that the BBC has verified footage of demonstrators marching on the campus of the Sharif University of Technology in the capital, Tehran, on Saturday. They were later seen scuffling with government supporters.

The report added that the protests were also reported at other universities in Tehran and elsewhere, with students gathering to honour thousands of those killed by authorities last month.

Additionally, it comes as the US builds up its military presence near Iran, with President Donald Trump saying he is considering a limited military strike.

Those Iranian students died during the protest were brave or have been carried away by their leaders. On the other hand, Khamenei remains thick, shameless and heartless. He should step down and live in peace. President Trump has planned to capture Khamenei.
