According to the report, an Iranian teacher lamenting the death of his students amid the government’s crackdown on protests has gone viral on social media. Video footage shows the man sitting in an empty classroom and mourning his students as most of them have apparently been killed by security forces that were deployed to address nationwide protests across the country.

The report stated that more than 12,000 people have been killed during the police crackdown on protests that swept through Iran since late December. Graphic videos shared on social media feature government forces firing live fire at protesters and, in some instances, chasing them to their apartments. The Iranian media has said that most of the protesters are young Iranians, many in their 20s.

The report added that the Iranian medical authorities reported casualties were shot in the chest or the head from close range or from rooftops to inflict deadly wounds, while others were stabbed to death.

In addition, the nights of January 8 and January 9 were by far the deadliest since the start of the protests on December 28. Judiciary officials have threatened the rioters with severe punishment without any mercy. The protests were triggered by the country’s worsening economic situation, particularly the crash of the national currency, and soon turned into an anti-government movement. Protesters are demanding the overthrow of the clergy regime and the ousting of Iran’s 86-year-old supreme leader, Ali Ayatollah Khamenei.

That's so painful, the teacher must have taken the students like her own children, so it was very painful for her to loose them.

Indeed, it is so painful, and I cried for this, while I was watching the video. My heart aches being also a teacher. Itis painful for a teacher seeing all his students died in the protest. Those student should have not joined the protest.

I saw this video; it is so painful to see and imagine. How much pain the parents might have suffered when they came to know about their kids getting killed. Yesterday I read the number has increased and has reached 35k for those killed in the protest.

That figure of deaths is not funny at all. Khamenei should give way; he must listen to the cry of the protesters to have him step down as the supreme leader. Doesn't he have compassion for the young and innocent people allowed to be killed? He is so unfair.

He's alone versus millions, plus some nations like the USA and Israel ready to execute Khamenei and his cohorts. The battle carrier of the USA is now in the Middle East facing Iran. Today, the war between the USA and Iran might have started.
