Ireland's prime minister Varadkar steps down

The prime minister of Ireland, Mr Varadksr announced today outside Dublin's Government Buildings that he was stepping down. He said his reasons for bowing out were both personal and political. He said a new leader will be better placed than him

After 7 years in office he believes he should give others a chance. but a personal level, he explained that as humans we have our limitations as one gives everything until can't anymore. So it would be time to move on.

Is Ireland still attractive country for foreign workers? I know rent cost a lot and it is even hard find anything. Is IT sector become weaker or they still hire people?

I think the prime minister just got bored with the position. Staying in a position for 7 years can be a tad tiring the reason not waiting to retire or be sacked.

It is good to see that he is not like other people who are solely driven by their desire for power and money. It is quite admirable that he is honest enough to admit that there are others who are better than him for the position.

You are right some people gets into power and want to make it their personal position for life. I sometimes wonder for them even when they are underperforming.
