Is a wedding a project that someone should save for?

It's perfectly fine to save for a wedding if you can. However, if you can't, avoid spending excessively. A simple wedding can be just as meaningful.
Personally i think something simple and decent is a lot more classy compared to having a grand wedding.

Well people save for weddings for different reasons. Most of the money gets burned in a single day, sure, but some stuff actually sticks around. We didn’t bother with a big event at all, we just budgeted for the parts that don’t disappear overnight. Photos, a small dinner, and my wife wanted her bouquet turned into something permanent.
Smart move, focusing on what truly matters and lasts, not just the fleeting celebration.

There are people that save for up to three years just to hold a wedding. And it is their wish. So it is fine.

You should save for a wedding but not an over bloated budget. That doesn't make sense to spend excessively on a wedding b.
I think weddings are best when they balance celebration and practicality. Overspending on luxury or appearances often backfires. Planning and saving for a simple, elegant wedding keeps finances safe and reduces stress. The focus should be on starting life together, not on a lavish event that leaves you struggling afterward.
