Alt text or alternative text is a brief explanation of an image that is installed on a website page. The main goal of the creator is to provide a description of the image, so that it will be easily understood by site visitors. But my question is, will alt text have any benefits for SEO?

Yes it does. I use both alt and title tags on images to improve my SEO.
