Is Generative AI usage bad for high school students?

There has been calls from several quarters that high school students should not rely on Generative AI tools for their assignments.

Is it that Generative AI usage is something that is completely bad for high school students? Or is there a limit that high school students can use them?

When high school students use Generative AI minimally, it is not bad. What is bad is sole independence on those models for every academic activity.
