Is having a girlfriend a financial drain to a male?

I would start this thread with a disclaimer. This is not supposed to be a sexist thread or misogynistic post.

Most people in my country equate being in a relationship with a lady as just taking up financial liability. You would hear talks like, "I don't want a relationship because I don't have money to spend". And other statements from guys that tend to point ladies as financial liabilities.

I am bringing it to the Discussion Bucks house, is dating a lady as a guy a financial liability? We know one has to buy flashy things to keep ladies happy but do you think dating a lady can drag your financial life down?

It depends on a lot of factors. There are girlfriends that are assets to you and would rather elevate your financial level. Some girlfriends give their men good paying jobs. How can such a person be a liability?

No longer now, not when a lot of ladies are assets themselves. This is why you should choose your partner wiseiy. Go for ladies that are independent and can contribute to your life not those that drains you physically, financially and otherwise

To be honest I think it depends on the kind of girl you are dating. I know some ladies who are extremely hard working and would be an asset to whoever they date. Though this does not mean you won't have to spend on them.

I think it is about the sophistication level of the girl. High level girls comes with more money demands so you go for the girls that are not high money demanding. By their looks you would know them.

It depends on personalities though. Most of the girls I know are financial drains any ways. It takes luck and careful finding for a guy to meet a girl who is an asset and would help him grow his money rather than spend it.

It depends on the girls you date. Once I got connected with a girl who is money minded and she always tells some reason, problems and taking money, later I disconnected with that girl.

In my country, a girl would give you billing to ask you for money within one week of meeting you. Their gas is always finishing.
