Is it a must that I must have two businesses?

Some people say that you can't be rich with just a single source of income. For entrepreneurs, this implies that we must not depend on one business.

I am confused with this though. Does it mean that one can't build just a single business to make himself very buoyant and financially comfortable.

Must I have up to 2 businesses at a time?

Many rich people only own or run one business, but they already have many branches, so it's best to persevere and run your business first until it is profitable and stable, then you can make plans to open a branch or open a new business.

I don't agree. You can be rich by one business also , you just need to extend your business and increase sales.

While having multiple businesses have its advantages, it is not a must that you should have two. Having just one is still very okay as long as you are able to meet up with all that you need to do.

I think these people are indicating towards combination of offline jobs with online working in part time. Like when I used to engage in office job then after job I was doing online work, this was increased my overall income.

You can still run a business and be rich but I think people run different businesses as a backup. you know you can't be too confident when you have only one thing.

I don't think it is a must that you have two businesses. Having one successful business can make you rich. Most entrepreneurs start small. They just open an online or offline business. As business grows, they may consider diversifying the business or open up branches.

I think that a business person should only open a second business when he or she is very sure that the first business has been firmly rooted. Starting up a second business when one is not very sound might turn out disastrous.
