Geographical location is the main factor..Most survey sites that are well paying favour the developed tier 1 countries. People from these countries claim to make decent money by spending some good time to these surveys sites . But yes, they would require a good amount of time. You have to do 8-10 long surveys to reach that amount. Moreover, it cannot happen every day. Sone days you might get lucky to have so many surveys and make 10 dollars or more. And on other day, you might have zero surveys or just one or two to reach a dollar. So, you can not totally rely on them as a constant source of income.
l think it's not possible for the people that live in the developing countries like Kenya and Africa at large.
They have very few options when it comes to survey sites and most of tem pay pennies. Not to blame the survey sites. Most of the brands and research houses that go for surveys have their target audiences living in developed countries. So, the users in these countries get more and better opportunities in survey.
